Or, you’re already in a position titled something like the above, but are now being asked to obtain a certificate to further demonstrate your skills and knowledge. Data Protection (GDPR) Practitioner Certificate – 5 day course
The Data Protection GDPR Practitioner Certificate is the certificate for people already undertaking the role of Data Protection Officer or likely to fulfil the role under the new General Data Protection Regulation who wish to demonstrate formal learning, in support of their practical knowledge. It will be suitable for the public, private and third sectors and will teach delegates essential GDPR skills and in-depth knowledge.
Attendees will:
- Understand the importance of data protection legislation and compliance in the EU
- Interpret key terminology of the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) in a practical context
- Understand the key obligations of the GDPR and DPA
- Create policies and procedures necessary for data protection compliance and accountability
- Carry out a data protection audit and gap analysis
- Develop an action plan to address a data protection gap analysis
- Respond appropriately to data protection issues arising in an organisation
- Carry out the duties of a data protection officer
The course will take place over five days during a three week period, with the online exam arranged for a suitable time around a week later. It will comprise of lectures, discussion and practical exercises and the exam will comprise of MCQ. The course content has been assessed as QCF Level Equivalent = 5 and endorsed by TQUK Ltd.
Data Protection (GDPR) Foundation Certificate – 1 day course
The Data Protection GDPR Foundation Certificate is the certificate for people who need to identify a clear, concise and generic understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation and who wish to demonstrate formal learning, in support of their practical knowledge. It is suitable for the public, private and third sectors and will teach delegates essential GDPR skills and sufficient knowledge to assist their organisation toward their accountability of GDPR
Attendees will:
- Be aware of the importance of data protection legislation and the GDPR
- Understand the key obligations of the GDPR and DPA
- Understand the rationale behind a data protection audit and gap analysis
- Assist with policies and procedures required for data protection compliance and accountability
The course will take place over 1 full day with an online exam a few days later. It will comprise of lectures, discussion and practical exercises. The exam will comprise of MCQ / SAQ. The course content has been assessed as QCF Level Equivalent = 3 and endorsed by TQUK Ltd.
